Bob Receives CASE Award

HONG KONG - December 6, 2008 - Annual giving author and consultant Bob Burdenski has been awarded the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Crystal Apple Award for Teaching Excellence at the CASE Asia-Pacific Conference in Hong Kong.

The CASE award is presented only to the organization's very best presenters and educators, reflecting the highest member evaluations received at CASE conferences and programs.  Award recipients must score an evaluation of 4.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale at ten different CASE conferences.  Fewer than 10% of all CASE presenters receive the CASE Crystal Apple Award.

Bob's wife, Dana, and new daughter, Madeleine, were in attendance at the conference banquet, and the surprise award presentation caught Bob off-guard.  Sitting with his daughter strapped to his chest when the announcement was made, Bob had little choice but to climb the stage with 4-month-old Madeleine coming along.for the ride.  Both the audience and Madeleine seemed to enjoy the presentation just fine.

CASE recently released Bob's second book, More Innovations in Annual Giving: Ten Global Departures That Worked, with annual giving case histories from colleges, universities and schools from around the world.  The book is a sequel to Bob's best-selling first CASE book, Innovations in Annual Giving.
