Bob's Favorite Things To Do
In San Diego

1. Head for Tijuana and a quick out-of-country experience. (You can take the 30-minute tram straight from downtown.) While there, have a Caesar Salad at the Hotel Don Cesar -- where it was invented. Be sure to bring your passport and be sure to allow ample time to get back through U.S. Customs.

2. Head to the Hotel Coronado and marvel at the extravagent woodwork inside, and the beautiful beach outside.

3. Have a cheeseburger "caveman style" with a "neapolitan" shake at In-N-Out Burger.

4. Catch a ballgame at Petco Park.

5. Have lunch on the rooftop patio at George's on the Cove in LaJolla.

6. Wander the shops at Horton Plaza -- maybe my favorite shopping center in the U.S.

7. See the orangutans at the world-famous San Diego Zoo. When you're done there, check out the rest of the sights in Balboa Park.

8. Explore the Gaslamp District, including some jazz at Croce's.

9. See Shamu at Sea World

10. Check out the U.S.S. Midway aircraft carrier -- just steps from the hotel.
